Why join PSPAWA We currently have around 80 members who enjoy a range of benefits which include:
- Listing on our website.
As more and more clients use the internet to find services, being listed on the PSPAWA site has never been more valuable. Our "Find A Speech Pathologist" page can direct clients to your practice, even if you don't have a website or any other electronic listing. We are also listed in the Yellow Pages, both on-line and in hard copy.
- Opportunities to network with other Speech Pathologists in private practice.
Working in sole practices can be isolating. Being part of a larger community offers opportunities for networking in a relaxed environment with other speech pathologists who are experiencing the same issues and concerns. Your involvement in PSPAWA can be as extensive as you wish - be it just at the social functions, the professional development events or in our regular meetings.
- Professional development
Clinical forums occur 2 - 3 times per year in the evenings so as to not disrupt your clinic. Topics are suggested by our members to ensure they are relevant and current to our members needs. These informal sessions provide wonderful opportunities to learn and share information, as well as gather useful tips and resources. They are free for our members and count toward Speech Pathology Australia's Professional Self Regulation (PSR) program.
